Whilst the major travel routes into and around Devon can be regarded as excellent, much of the county is only accessible by country lanes. Most are two-track but some are single lanes which can require extra care in difficult weather. Be sure to check the forecast and be prepared.

From the M5 at Exeter

Leave the motorway at junction 30 and take the A3052 to Sidmouth. 8 miles on and you will come to Newton Poppleford. At the first mini roundabout take the B3178 to Budleigh Salterton. Colaton Raleigh is about 1.5 miles along this road. Continue through the village past the Otter Inn on the left; the entrance to Drupe Farm Court is just after the Pub on the left.

From the A30:

Leave the A30 onto the A375 signposted to Sidmouth. Follow this road for 7 miles until you reach Sidford. At the crossroads turn right onto the A3052 signposted to Exeter. Make sure you don't go into Sidmouth. Follow the A3052 to Newton Poppleford, pass through the village and at the first mini roundabout turn left onto the B3178 to Budleigh Salterton. Colaton Raleigh is about 1.5 miles along this road. Continue through the village past the Otter Inn on the left. The entrance to Drupe Farm Court is just after the Pub on the left.

By Train

Trains are available from the North, Midlands and London (Paddington/Waterloo) to Exeter St Davids. The fastest London trains are a little over two hours.
